Norfolk Island - Garden Clubs of Australia October 2019 Convention

    in Gardens of the World

A taste of the vegetation and gardens of Norfolk Island can be found in a photo album here

Norfolk Island is a small dot of land hundreds of kilometres from Australia and New Zealand. It is a subtropical environment with a unique heritage, advantages in climate and soils but severe restrictions and limitations due to isolation and strict quarantine laws.

This small island's vegetation is dominated unsurprisingly by Norfolk Island Pines but convention attendees were lucky to visit many and varied private gardens as well as the annual Flower Show, Botanical Garden and the Government House home and garden.
